Final Night of League…
Last night was my final night for this year’s league. They have one more week that I won’t be able to attend, which is sad, because I have some award money coming that I won’t be able to pick up myself. Oh well, not much I can do about that.
My final night was a great night, but had a bittersweetness to it. I bowled my best 3 game series ever: 238, 220, 221 for a 679. Going into the last game, I had a decent chance to get a 700 series. I missed two single pin spares (had made all others the rest of the night). If I had made those, I would have had a 245 and my 700. So, while it was my best three games in league, it could have and should have been better.
Overall, I’m pleased with the final 9 weeks of this league. Since I had my last lesson, I’ve averaged over 200 and raised my league average from 182 to 188 which is significant this late in the season.
I won’t bowl in any league this summer, but will commit to practicing at least once a week to maintain what I’ve learned and even try to tweak some minor adjustments. I’m not sure if I’ll keep a regular blog, but if anything significant happens, I’m sure I’ll pass it along.

You might be ready to go pro now… 😉
You’ve inspired me, brother. I may convert my own dust-covered blog (http://dbashmak.blogspot.com) to a pseudo-/quasi-bowling journal at some point as I continue the frustrating pursuit of a 600 series.
I have two goals for next year’s league: maintain a 170+ average and get that 600.
Anyway. I’ve enjoyed your posts. Have a good summer (I’m doing 2 leagues– I NEED the practice!)… ? ?????!
